Patient data that stays private
Phishing and account takeovers are caught and shut down quickly, around the clock, so a single bad click does not become a reportable breach.
Fewer interruptions to patient care
Proactive monitoring and patching prevent many problems before they reach the front desk, and when something does break, friendly experts fix it fast.
HIPAA technical safeguards, handled
Encryption, multi-factor authentication, device controls, backup, and access management are put in place and kept current, giving you evidence for your risk analysis.
New staff productive on day one
New hires receive a ready-to-use, secured computer, and departing staff lose access immediately, so turnover never leaves a door open.
A lost laptop is an inconvenience, not a breach
Every device is encrypted and can be locked or wiped remotely, and files live safely in the cloud.
Know exactly where you stand
A plain-English security assessment shows your biggest risks and what to fix first.
What's at stake
Ransomware can cancel a week of appointments
When the EHR, scheduling, or phones are down, patients are turned away and revenue stops.
One compromised mailbox can expose PHI
Healthcare email is a prime phishing target, and a breach can bring notification costs, regulatory scrutiny, and lost patient trust.
IT falls on people who already have full-time jobs
Without a dedicated IT partner, office managers lose hours to onboarding, updates, and troubleshooting.
Meet your requirements with confidence
Working with Tridium means the technical controls these rules call for are in place and maintained, so audits, risk analyses, and cyber insurance applications go more smoothly.
HIPAA Security Rule
Covered entities and business associates must protect electronic PHI with administrative, physical, and technical safeguards, including risk analysis, access controls, audit controls, and transmission security. Tridium focuses on the technical safeguards, while your practice owns its policies and training.
Business associate agreements
HIPAA requires a business associate agreement (BAA) with vendors that can access ePHI, including IT providers and cloud services. Microsoft offers a BAA for Microsoft 365. Ask any IT provider how they handle BAAs before granting access to your systems.
42 CFR Part 2 (substance use disorder records)
Behavioral health programs that hold substance use disorder treatment records have additional federal confidentiality requirements on top of HIPAA, which makes tight access control and auditing even more important.
Florida Information Protection Act (FIPA)
Florida businesses that hold personal information must take reasonable measures to protect it. After a breach, affected Floridians generally must be notified within 30 days, and breaches affecting 500 or more Floridians must also be reported to the Florida Attorney General. Strong safeguards make it far less likely you will ever have to send those notices.
